Alecos Philippou is an architect in practice with J+A Philippou since 1981. Over his long and rich career, Alecos has been strongly involved in the design and supervision of a wide variety of high-caliber and/or complex projects – predominantly in Cyprus and to a lesser degree overseas. Amongst his most significant works are the Cypriot Ministry of Finance, the Headquarters of three local Banks (Bank of Cyprus, Arab Bank and Hellenic Bank), as well as numerous commercial and hospitality projects. Apart from his professional output, Alecos has been a board member of APOEL FC for roughly five years, while he is still a Board Member of GSP (Pancyprian Gymnastic Association) for almost two decades. He is a graduate of L’ Unite Pedagogique D’ Architecture Numero Deux, in Paris, leading to Diploma of Architecture (DLPG).
