Given that the urban area for this single-family dwelling is under its early stages of development, the Project sought to create a self-referential and introvert house, which nonetheless strategically responds to the unknown and foreseeable context. In this respect, the street façade attempts to register as the introduction to something distinctive, yet without being too extravagant or ‘noisy’.
Once the threshold of the street façade is surpassed, an inviting yet hybrid environment is revealed, which seems both familiar and innovative. The boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces are tactically integrated, giving rise to a sophisticated experience of both expansiveness and tranquillity. A sequence of distinct yet complementary moments contribute to the richness of the whole.
