Alkis Philippou is an architect in practice with J+A Philippou since 1989. Prior to this, he has practiced with Llewelyn-Davies Weeks in London, for a bit more than a calendrical year. Unlike many architects of his generation, Alkis has kept a dynamic interest in the transformations of the field’s design approaches over time, thereby allowing each successive wave to inform his architectural approach. Apart from his professional output, Alkis has been a Board Member of APOEL FC, as well as the Head of the Youth Academy of the same club for more than a decade. Alkis has accompanied some of the Practice’s international activities – such as, in Greece in the 1990s and in the Sultanate of Oman in the 2010s. He has gained his Diploma of Architecture at the Ecole Spéciale d’ Architecture (D.ESA), in Paris.
