The Peninsula Resort is a vast (200,000 sqm) mixed-use seafront complex, situated in Geroskipou – between the city of Paphos and its airport. The Paphos Promenade – a 4 km long seafront boardwalk that commences from Paphos Harbor – extends up to the site, where the land forms a peninsula into the sea – a geographical episode with high potential for a high-end development, as it offers extensive exposure to the coastline and superb views.
The complex consists of three towers offering panoramic views of the deep blue sea. While the first of these hosts a 5-star international branded hotel, the other two are predominantly residential in use. The relation with the ground of all three structures is formulated by Podiums with Common Facilities – thereby greatly surpassing in size the typical floor-plate of each high-rise component. In the case of the two residential towers, these podiums connect – thereby transforming the residential components into a single yet differentiated entity.
The three towers are designed in a way to maximise the number of seaview units, while offering deep terraces (covered balconies), which extend the floor area of each unit with a transitional outdoor space – thereby providing shade against overheating.
While the Project’s density and footprint is relatively high, these are compensated by substantial public and private green areas, which include a series of complementary gardens and thematic-parks.
