Architecturally the building is organised as a mediating element between a secluded garden and this activated urban condition. While at ground floor, the filtering is more intense, at first floor the building visually opens to the public green. Unlike many contemporary attempts to \u2018dissolve the boundary\u2019 between interior and exterior, here the architecture is articulated as integral to and complementary of a differentiated landscape.<\/p>\n
Instead of a monolithic volume which would have negatively impacted the sense of scale and domesticity, the building consists as an assembly of architectural gestures from residential architecture of Nicosia.
